Make Money with Ebooks

Make Money with Ebooks“If you want to create real revenue with your blog, you need to have something worthwhile to sell….Writing an ebook is still one of the best ways to do it.” – Sonia Simone, CopyBlogger

Make Money with ebooks by working smarter, not harder!

Have you ever thought about turning your blog posts into profit-generating eBooks? With just a few extra steps and a little extra time you can create an ebook people might just shell out a stack of pennies for.

Think About It.

If you have been writing posts on a particular niche or subject for a while, you have already writtien a book. It’s just not in book form yet. Simply organize your posts – making sure they flow and read like a book (adding additional content as needed) – and put them into eBook form. This is a great way to leverage your already existing content and provide a useful tool for people, which can easily be spread around the Internet with a strategic marketing plan.

Informational products, such as ebooks are a great way to generate some income with your blogging. Writing eBooks works the same way as writing a book except that ebooks are usually significantly smaller, averaging between 20 – 50 pages.

Can you just imagine how many eBooks you could create from your already existing content?

Here’s my two cents on turning blog posts into eBooks.

1. Create an Outline

Once you know your topic, create an outline keeping the blog posts you have written in mind. It is important to have a framework to work with in order to keep you organized and to create a fluid, easy to read eBook.

2. Gather posts from relevant categories

You want to focus your eBook on a single niche or category. If it is too broad or covers several different unrelated topics you will lose readers and any benefits from writing the book.

For example, lets say you have a blog about Golf. Within your blog, you have different golf-related topics such as; golf-swing tips, golf course reviews, and the latest golf news (imagine the traffic you could generate by blogging about Tiger Woods right now). You decide to write your eBook about golf-swing tips. Sift through all posts from your golf-swing category – picking the ones that you want to include – and copy/paste them to a text editor like Microsoft Front Page or Microsft Word.

3. Organize posts into outline

You may or may not have enough posts to cover all of the sections from the eBook outline you created. It is very important to transform those posts into a fluid, easy to read book. You will most likely have to write additional content to achieve this. Organize the posts according to your outline in order to see how it flows. This will also help you to figure out where the holes are so you can begin to think about the appropriate content needed to fill them.

4. Add necessary content

Simply copying and pasting your posts in a rough order is not going to cut it. You are going to have to add connector-paragraphs so your eBook doesn’t read like a bunch of articles thrown together. Remember, readers are going to be judging you based upon the quality of your eBook so take the time to make sure it reads like a book. Not just any book, but one people want to read and can actually learn from. If you can create a book that is a practical and useful guide for people, then your odds of making some real money increases exponentially.

Many bloggers either do not employ the proper strategy for using eBooks as a money generator or simply have not explored the idea. Whatever the reason, generating information products like eBooks are a great tool for finding and retaining a loyal readership, promoting your brand and creating a steady income.

5. Beware of the Crap!

The Internet is full of people claiming to have created the best eBook money-making program. Claims such as “Make easy Money while sipping Mai Thais on the beach” are far too common and easily sucker people into paying for what amounts to nothing more than regurgitated noise!
