Tips from Truveo on Video Search Best Practices

ReelSEO recently interviewed Dr. Pete Kocks, President of Truveo, the video search engine. Pete talks to ReelSEO about best practices for video search optimization.

Here are two major points he talks about:

1. Page Load Time – His first point is about the importance of page load time and that search engines, in particular, video search engines do pay attention to page load times as these affect the user experience, so if you want to optimize your videos for the search engines, it is a good idea to make sure that your page and video loads as quickly as possible.

2. Video Thumbnails – Video thumbnail use is very important. This makes sense because the thumbnails are what people typically click on when browsing search results both in web search results, but most importantly, within video search engine results pages.
